Local area

The tiny village of Gisburn has been in both Lancashire and Yorkshire in its time (currently in the former), and is ideally placed for both the Forest of Bowland and the Yorkshire Dales. Just a short 10 minute drive away you have Clitheroe, where you can enjoy further walking, cycling and a host of leisure pursuits. Or head to the Town of Skipton surrounded again by beautiful countryside. If you fancy a day out, you can visit the Ribble Steam Railway at Preston and travel along the dock and riverside line for the 3 mile round trip, or take a 45 minute journey to the seaside of Lytham St Annes.

Schools and Education

Transport links are taken care of too, as Clitheroe enjoys easy main road access to Lancaster, Preston, Blackburn & Manchester. There is an hourly train service from Clitheroe to Blackburn and Manchester. The local bus passes the development, and goes directly into Clitheroe and Skipton.
